Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’ Rourke outraised incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Abbott for a third time, according to a Tuesday report by the Texas Ethics Commission.

O’Rourke raised $10.5 million in one month, while Abbott raised $8.8 million in the same period.

“I’m grateful for everyone who helped raise $10.5 million in just 30 days as we support the Get Out the Vote work of our organizers and record-breaking 100,000 volunteers,” O’Rourke said in a statement.

“We’re receiving support from those in every part of this state who are ready to turn the page on Greg Abbott’s failures and vote for change after eight years of this governor putting his extreme agenda over the people of Texas.”

According to TEC fillings, O’Rourke also leads in more cash-on-hand with $4.2 million compared to Abbott’s $3.7 million. Texas Tribune Political Reporter Patrick Svitek also reported both candidates’ most significant contributors.

According to the filing, O’Rourke received donations from more than 237,000 donors, while Abbott finished with 29,000.

In total, both candidates have raised $220 million in what is estimated to be the most expensive governors race in Texas history, according to the Houston Chronicle

With eight days till election day, both candidates are on the road, pitching voters their plans for Texas.

On Tuesday, actor Jaime Camil and Tejano musician Lucky Joe joined O’Rourke in the Rio Grande Valley, rallying voters to cast their ballots. On Wednesday, O’Rourke is set to speak in Laredo and Uvalde.

Gov. Abbott spoke in Amarillo and El Paso on Tuesday and is set to speak to voters in Texarkana on Wednesday.

A poll released on Tuesday by the University of Houston also showed Abbott with a 13-point lead over O’Rourke.
