Sanders campaign launches new Texas headquarters and field offices

Sen. Bernie Sanders plans to open three new field offices and a headquarters in Texas.

Field offices will open in Houston, San Antonio, and McAllen, while Austin will be the site of the campaign’s Texas headquarters.

The launch of the new field offices come days after the Sanders campaign announced it would increase staffing in Super Tuesday states, like Texas. In that same release, the campaign said it would make an aggressive $5.5 million television and digital ad buy in 10 of those Super Tuesday states, including Texas.

The latest aggregate national polling this month shows Sanders at 23 percent among Democrats, followed by former Vice President Joe Biden at 20 percent, and Michael Bloomberg and Sen. Elizabeth Warren tied at 13 percent.

Early voting in Texas begins next week on Tuesday. The Lone Star State will be joined by 13 other Super Tuesday states, all of them representing a third of all delegates allocated during the entire primary.
