John Cornyn’s super PAC

Texans for a Conservative Majority supported the Senator’s last election, raising more than $2.5 million.  Over the last six months, it has raked in $824,000 for the good senator.  We’re looking into the donors and potential impact of the super PAC.

Report: Wendy Davis is expected to run against Rep. Chip Roy

Former candidate for Texas governor Wendy Davis is reportedly running for the U.S. House, hoping to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Chip Roy for a seat outside of Austin, the Austin American Statesman reported yesterday. Roy wasted no time going on the attack.

“Wendy Davis made her name when she filibustered for hours in the Texas Legislature defending her radical, late-term abortion position,” he said in a statement. “Now she’s the darling of Planned Parenthood, NARAL and the far Left across the country,” Roy said. “They’ll pull out all the stops to flood millions of liberal dollars to her campaign.”

Republicans spending a ton of money on polling

The Chronicle reported that, “During and immediately after this Legislative session, top Republicans spent more on polling than they had in the past three legislative sessions combined. Bonnen gifted nearly $20,000 in polling research to nearly everyone in the 83-member House Republican Caucus. Bonnen has shoveled more than $258,000 into polls so far this year. Abbott spent about $153,000 and Patrick spent nearly $12,000.”
