Polls in Texas closed at 7:00 p.m. However, all Harris County polling locations will stay open until 8:00 p.m. This follows a lawsuit from the Texas Organizing Project. El Paso, because it’s in the Mountain Time Zone, will also close then.

8:16 p.m. (CST): With 22% of the vote in, Texas AG Candidate Rochelle Garza leads with 49.2 percent against incumbent Ken Paxton who has 47.14 percent, Decision Desk HQ reports
9:03 p.m. (CST): The Texas Supreme Court has ordered Harris County election officials to separate the ballots cast during an extra hour of voting, something that was ruled by a lower court. This followed a request from Ken Paxton to reverse lower court’s order.
9:20 p.m. (CST): With 28.4 percent of the vote in, Abbott leads with 52.7 percent to O’Rourke’s 46.2 percent.
9:26 p.m. (CST): Republican incumbent, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, leads with 51.8 percent against Democratic Candidate Mike Collier with 45.8.
9:36 p.m. (CST): With 58 percent of the vote in, Rep. Dawn Buckingham leads by 56.5 percent against Jay Kleberg with 42.1 percent in the race for Texas Land Commissioner.
9:45 p.m. (CST): Decision Desk HQ calls the governor’s race for Greg Abbott
10:19 p.m. (CST): Harris County Judge race too close to call with incumbent Judge Lina Hidalgo in the lead with 50.71 percent of the vote and Mealer holds 49.29 percent.
