Biden Wins

by | Nov 6, 2020 | Breaking, Politics

Early this morning Joe Biden overtook Donald Trump in Georgia, and began to close in on the 270 electoral votes needed to defeat Donald Trump.

Shortly after 9 AM CT, he moved into the lead in Pennsylvania and Decision Desk HQ called the race for Biden.

Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States.

While votes are still being tabulated in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, the late ballots have been breaking heavily for Biden and his lead in Pennsylvania at least is expected to hold, giving him a minimum of 273 electoral votes.

Expect legal wrangling to continue, but with the Trump team’s efforts to stop the count and suppress the vote being routinely dismissed, there does not seem to be a legal path forward for the soon to be ex-President.

Senator Kamala Harris will become the first woman elected to the White House in her capacity as Biden’s running mate. The Vice President-elect will be the first Black woman, as well as the first South Asian American to be elected to either position in the White House.
