Anderson Davis, a 17-month old, was among those injured in Saturday’s mass shooting in Midland-Odessa. A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of the Davis family, with a goal of $200,000. The page met its initial goal of $100,000. The organizer of the fundraiser, Haylee Wilkerson, wrote the family “will have a lot of [things] they are going to have to pay for.”
On the page, the baby’s mother provided an update on her daughter:
“We are on a very long drive to Lubbock. Anderson is a live [sic] and that is a prayer answered bigger than I’ve ever had to pray. Her vitals are good. She is being flown to Lubbock while we drive. Not getting to fly with her is beyond painful. Anderson is 17 months old, has shrapnel in her right chest, which thank God is superficial. She has a hole through her bottom lip and tongue and her front teeth were knocked out. She is alive.”
